Product Features

Mechanism of action

The action of hypophosphorous acid is mainly manifested in its reducing property, especially the reduction property of metal ions. The reaction formula is as follows:

4Ag++H3PO3+2H20=4Ag(precipitation)+H3PO4+4H+

In the same way, the above gold ions can be changed into copper, nickel, zinc ions, and the reaction raw materials are similar.

Uses

1, hypophosphorous acid has a strong reducing property, widely used in electroless plating, pharmaceutical chemical industry, resin coating, ink and water treatment and other industries

2,In the resin production as an antioxidant subtractive agent, in the plastic industry as a flame retardant plasticizer, in the textile industry as an anti-ultraviolet additive;

3,It is high quality hypophosphorous acid products, such as Calcium Hypophosphite, Magnesium Hypophosphite, Potassium Hypophosphite, Nickel Hypophosphite and other synthetic raw materials, can also be used for the production of Aluminium hypophosphite halogen-free flame retardants.

Production and preparation process

The hypophosphorous acid was prepared by removing sodium with strong acid type cation exchange resin, and high purity products were obtained. The general principle is: about 70g of cation exchange resin wet with water is loaded into the glass tube, with 5mol/L hydrochloric acid flow for about 15min, after full washing, the high purity sodium hyphosphate solution (15g/60mlH2O) flows through it, the resin column is first used 50ml, and then washed with 25rnl distilled water. The acid and wash will flow out of the combination, evaporation concentrated on the water bath. The concentrated acid is dehydrated in a high vacuum dryer with P205, cooled and crystallized, filtered and recrystallized to get the hypophosphite product. The total amount of sodium ion control has a great influence on the quality of the product.

 

Packaging and storage

1,Using polyethylene plastic drum, net weight 25kg, 250kg or IBC specification 1000kg. Store in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse, away from direct sunlight.

2,Placed in a ventilated dry place, avoid contact with high temperature, oxidizer, its corrosive, pay attention to light, light unloading, strictly prohibited splashing, storage and transportation, must avoid light, avoid high temperature, fireworks, seal, to avoid hypophosphorous acid leakage.

 

The effective content of hypophosphorous acid is generally below 50%, the content is too high and easy to volatilize, and the shelf life is 1 year. The properties of hypophosphorous acid are more active, and can be neutralized with most oxidants and alkaline chemicals to generate hypophosphorous acid or phosphate,which is widely used in chemical plating solution,electroplating,catalyst, biopharmaceutical, resin water reducerand other industries.
